As we step into the New Year, we can let go of the past and explore the possibilities that lie ahead of us. Times of transition present us with an opportunity to re-evaluate our lives and make the necessary changes to realign with our goals.


Acceptance of the past and forgiveness give us the freedom to create a brighter future! We can cultivate a positive response to the complex situations life presents us with and let go of past experiences that overshadow our present interactions.


In the face of personal and global challenges, we may have established new fears, doubts, or attitudes, which do not serve but inhibit our growth. Let’s make a commitment to consciously letting go of them! After all, “What’s broken can be mended, what hurts can be healed, and no matter how dark it gets, the sun is going to rise again.”


As we welcome 2023, we can take a moment to acknowledge our achievements during the past year – no matter how big or small they may seem. We can take pride in our resilience and the creative ways we have overcome the challenges we faced.


We can ask ourselves, “What do I want?” and “What is my purpose?” If we go beyond the ego, we may discover the overarching force of our life and align with our higher purpose. Our answers can be simply expressed as affirmations in the New Year.


Release the outcome into the field of infinite possibilities and let the Universe take care of the rest.”


Let's make this a successful New Year! Let it be a year in which we are kinder and more generous in our thoughts, in our words, and actions. Let our goals be compassion for those who are in need, empathy for those in difficulty, and patience for those who challenge us! Whatever setbacks we experience, we can cultivate gratitude and express with intention our appreciation for the blessings we receive each day.


May 2023 bring us great strength and new ways of finding balance, harmony, and happiness!

We are happy to welcome Brendan Murphy to the team!


Brendan is an experienced Yoga teacher (ERYT-500 with Yoga Alliance) and the Founder of Shanti Warrior Yoga.


Whilst Brendan came to Yoga following a sports injury, he realised that, beyond the physical benefits he initially sought, there was so much more to his practice. The mental and emotional release and relief he experienced has led him to develop his understanding of sports and exercise psychology, in particular, the crossover between the application of psychological coping mechanisms and the practice of Yoga.


Brendan shares our vision of making Yoga accessible to all! As well as Hatha Yoga and Aqua Yoga, he also teaches Chair Yoga for people who have limited mobility. Brendan is passionate about working with people of all abilities. His focus is on helping people find more strength and mobility, as well as a sense of contentedness, through Yoga in all its forms.




We are very excited that Brendan has joined us and he is sharing his wealth of knowledge and experience with qualified Yoga teachers! Brendan is delivering our new Aqua Yoga Teacher Training CPD programme. On this course, you will learn how to confidently guide students safely and effectively through their aqua yoga practice.

Brendan states "Aqua Yoga provides an opportunity to practice balance and strengthening in an environment where falling over is no big deal! The buoyancy provided by the water allows people the chance to move their bodies in ways that may not yet be possible for them to do safely on dry land. This helps to build confidence and stability, as well as flexibility – making it a great way to recover following an injury, too."

The Aqua Yoga Teacher Training CPD programme will take place at the Corby East Midlands International Swimming Pool. NN17 1QB from 9:00am until 5:30pm on Sunday 26th February 2023. The cost is £195 (usual price £220).

The programme presented a holistic approach to delivering a meditation class. Stefan introduced us to a range of techniques and practices that we can use to structure a class in three stages - stretch, breathe and meditate. The programme was very practical; from day-one, we were presented with lots of opportunities to teach. Whilst this could potentially be quite daunting, with Stefan's guidance and the respect and support of all participants, we created a 'safe space' to explore our potential as meditation teachers!

On completion of the training programme, I feel that I am well equipped to plan and structure meditation classes. The manual covers all the theory presented during the programme as well as clear guidance on how to teach the stretches, breathwork, and meditation techniques.
